Job Opening for Technical Writer

Job Functions:

• Develop and maintain an understanding of WorkForce Software configuration basics
• Gather technical information from Developers and QA Analysts
• Accurately document technical information, adding new materials or updating existing documentation such as:
  

  - Software configuration manuals
  - End user manuals
  - Installation guides
  - Technical reference guides
  

• Ensure quality of all released documentation, applying WorkForce Software documentation writing style guide standards and templates.

Mandatory Skills:

• Minimum five years experience writing technical reference and end user documentation
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Word skills
• Adobe Acrobat skills
• Experience interviewing developers, testers, and users to produce accurate and clear documentation
• Ability to quickly understand technical subject matter
• Ability to work well independently and with others
• Excellent written and oral communication

Desired Skills:

• Help authoring software experience
• Source Control software experience
• SQL
• HTML
• Experience working with an embedded reporting tool
• Experience developing graphics and publications
• Experience in programming or website development is helpful, but not required.
